About the Role
We now have two vacancies, one within our Design Team and one within our Development team, to help us manage programmes and projects across the North of England.
You will work on our “Paths for Everyone” and “Liveable Towns and Cities” programmes, with projects focused on getting more people walking and cycling by improving the National Cycle Network and working with local communities, reshaping their streets and encouraging greater active travel.
Using your experience and understanding of the issues surrounding walking and cycling infrastructure, you will take a lead role in producing feasibility studies, including maps, drawings, text and photographic surveys.
You will also have the opportunity to draw on your passion for sustainable travel and help us with public engagement events.
We believe in working collaboratively, so are looking for someone who can build effective working relationships with a diverse range of project partners.
You will have experience of project management and an understanding of wider transport and/or urban design issues and how they interact with creating more liveable spaces.
In return we can offer you genuine flexibility around working patterns. We embrace values-driven and inclusive leadership and we listen and make time for innovation through our people-centred culture.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a team where you can make a big impact and where we value the contribution and expertise of everyone.

Sustrans is committed to reducing inequality, valuing diversity and enabling inclusion.
