Salary: £30942 to £40322 per annum (pro-rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience. Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance.

The Estates and Facilities Department at the University of Nottingham provides strategic and operational services support to the University infrastructure, buildings and landholdings. We are a large and diverse department employing approximately 1100 people and provide a wide range of services across our UK sites.

This is a key role within the Sustainability Team and will support the delivery of the University’s strategic Sustainability ambition. We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual to work across all University sites leading on the development, implementation and management of our Environmental Management system. You will advise on changes to legislation ensuring compliance across the Estate and will support the Implementation of our Environmental Sustainability strategic delivery plan. You will work with a range of stakeholders across different departments and across different sites.

You should be qualified to Degree level in a relevant environmental subject with some relevant experience in a similar role or have extensive relevant experience in a similar role. You will also have demonstrable experience of environmental management systems and their operations within an organisation, and will have knowledge and understanding of government strategy, policy and legislation relating to the field.

This role is available on a permanent basis. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours) worked mainly Monday to Friday, flexibility will be required. Job share arrangements may be considered.
