About Cycling Projects: Cycling Projects is a national charity that focuses on reaching marginalised individuals and their communities and connecting them together by weaving cycling into their lifestyles. We have a particular focus on supporting people living with disabilities, inactive community members and those living with lifelong illness.

We are the largest provider of inclusive cycle opportunities in the country, and are entering a period of growth in our embedded national programmes; Wheels for All and Pedal Away together with the launch of our new Bike Buddy and We Ride Together initiatives. With over 50 Wheels for All cycling hubs providing regular access to adapted cycles and trained support alongside the Pedal Away programme enabling people to ride on two wheels regardless of age, ability or experience we are well on the way to achieving our ambition to sustainably support people of all abilities to be active on their own terms.

Cycling Projects is going through an exciting period of growth that requires a solid structure of governance, operational support and innovation through the successful engagement in the community leading to long term impact for all involved.

About the role:

We require an experienced individual with a range of skills and abilities to become the national operations manager for Cycling Projects. This will be a vital role for the charity as it continues to grow, and expand its inclusive cycling offer to people across the country.

The successful candidate will take responsibility for the delivery and performance of current programmes of work, and implementing more systems and processes to support our operations which will be a critical success factor in our growth. There will be opportunities to work with the charity director, operations staff and the finance team delivering new initiatives in response to the covid pandemic.

Wrapped around current and new work programmes is the exciting opportunity to be part of the team as we scale up and create a sustainable inclusive cycling network, with the support of an external consultancy. All new and current programmes will benefit from the Scaling Up process, and will be influenced and shaped by the learning process.
