Job Title: Digital Communications Assistant
Location: Ipswich, as well as remote working. Some travel across Groundwork East’s area of operation may be required
Hours: 25 hours per week
Contract Type: 6 months

Groundwork East is looking for a creatively-minded communications assistant to help grow the profile of the charity through its digital channels. This is an ideal position for somebody looking to begin a career in environmental communications who is passionate about advocating for sustainable communities and businesses as the postholder will be given the opportunity to help shape the organisation’s messages and showcase its activity though social media, websites, blogs, film, photography and email.

The Digital Communications Assistant will be part of the marketing and development team and provide support to colleagues across the organisation ensuring its digital communications are professional and impactful. The postholder will be actively encouraged to look for new digital communication opportunities and work creatively to create fresh, innovative content that can be used across digital platforms.

We are seeking an individual with excellent written and spoken communication skills who enjoys communicating through digital channels. Strong IT skills are essential and the post-holder must be comfortable providing technical guidance to colleges which will support the delivery of projects and campaigns. An approachable manner is essential, as is the ability to operate under pressure. The role is part of a small, dedicated team working within a larger charity.
