Environmental Engagement Project Manager

At Castlehaven we have four acres of urban green space and a Horticulture Hub just off Camden Lock. We have been working hard to transform our 4-acre open space into a vibrant and loved green space that is rich in biodiversity, providing opportunities for the local community to learn about gardening, food growing and environmental issues, whilst improving their mental & physical health and wellbeing.
We are looking for a self-motivated, proactive, and passionate project manager to lead on creating an exciting programme of community activities, environment sessions, and events. You will have the ability to plan and manage projects, working under your own initiative to tight deadlines. It is essential that you have experience of working with inner city communities and can demonstrate how you have managed successful community projects, particularly those with a gardening, food growing and/or environmental focus. The ability to build strong partner relationships and to enthuse others to come onboard the project is key. That aside you will be creative, idea driven and flexible in your working arrangements.
This is a key project management role within the Castlehaven Community Association, working closely with the Castlehaven Chief Executive Officer and Operations Manager to maintain Castlehaven’s leading role within the voluntary sector and maintaining high standards of delivery.
Annual holiday entitlement is 25 working days of which 5 will be allocated to the Christmas period when the Centre is closed, in addition to statutory public holidays.

Venue of work:
Castlehaven Community Centre, Camden Town, London. This is not a remote or homebased role. We offer some flexibility, however you will be expected to work on site the majority of the time.
