We are looking for an enthusiastic Project Officer to help deliver the environmental aspects of the Cotswold Canals Connected (CCC) project. CCC is a canal restoration project near Stroud that will create a number of new biodiversity areas and increased connectivity for wildlife alongside the restoration of the canal itself. The Project has a commitment to achieving a net gain for biodiversity and creating green and blue infrastructure that recognises the value of the ecosystem services provided by nature.
The successful candidate will help deliver the Working with Nature Programme and will lead on habitat creation and restoration projects on the ground within one of GWT’s Priority Landscape Areas. The project is volunteer led and a key requirement of the role will be working with volunteers and the community engagement team to deliver for wildlife and people alike.
We are seeking to appoint a responsible and enthusiastic candidate with experience in practical land management and habitat creation and who has experience of delivering projects with volunteers and local community groups. With a passion for wildlife, the post holder will have excellent organisational skills, be adept at multi-tasking and have an ability to enthuse and inspire.
